Lots of words can be said about Vignale Monferrato... from "once upon a time" to today.

Behind the "Vinealis" (of the past) - Vignale today, the population's tenacity and efforts have overcome many difficulties: from clashes and devastation to a plague epidemic, people  dedicated to viticulture and faithful to tradition.

Part of the Piedmontese triangle Alessandria-Casale-Asti, the town stands in the heart of generous lands; it grew and changed, from a Romanesque garrison to a medieval fiefdom under the Marquises of Aleramo, who built a castle there, then under the Paleologi, and finally, it passed to the Callori counts who maintained possession of it until the nineteenth century. Palazzo Callori, their residence, was purchased by the Region in 1979 and transformed into the headquarters of the Regional Enoteca.
